What is Puraran Wahines Surf Retreat?

Puraran Wahine Surf Retreat was founded by Kissy Tanael, a local surfer born and raised in Catanduanes, to create a space where women can experience surfing in a supportive and empowering way.

Set on the unspoiled shores of Puraran Beach, famous for the world-class “Majestic Wave,” the retreat combines surf coaching, yoga, and island adventures with the simple joys of island living. Our team of ISA-certified instructors ensures that every woman—from complete beginner to experienced surfer—feels safe, guided, and encouraged in the water.

Beyond surfing, the retreat is about sisterhood and community: sharing meals, joining beach bonfires, playing volleyball, and exploring waterfalls and hidden coves together.
